MystiCares was born from personal loss and turned into purpose. Founder Giovanne Schachere built this organization in honor of his mother, Mysti, carrying her spirit of resilience and care into every program we run across Washington and California.
We serve people navigating some of life's hardest moments — housing instability, reentry after incarceration, complex medical and behavioral health needs — and we do it by centering their lived experience, not just their case file. Our team believes real support means showing up with dignity first, judgment never.
Working here isn't just a job description. Staff describe it as a calling — the chance to do real-world, client-centered work from day one, backed by leadership that values heart over hierarchy. You'll find a team driven by compassion, equity, and a genuine belief in second chances.
We're intentional about building a culture where staff grow alongside the people they serve — learning from lived experience, leading with empathy, and measuring success by real stability in real lives, not just numbers on a report.
