Mysti’s Adult & Family Services is seeking a senior leader to oversee medically based programs across California and Washington. This role leads Program Directors and multidisciplinary medical teams, ensures compliance, and protects service quality in trauma-informed, harm-reduction models.
This is not a Medical Director role, but strong clinical leadership experience is required.
What You’ll Do
• Lead Program Directors and oversee medically based service delivery across two states
• Ensure programs are trauma-informed, harm-reduction focused, and grounded in individualized care planning
• Oversee program compliance with Medicaid, state, and contractual requirements
• Partner with Compliance, QA, and Medical Directors (no direct medical care)
• Operate in a mostly remote, multi-state environment with periodic travel
What We’re Looking For (Non-Negotiable)
• 8+ years leading medically based programs with direct client care experience
• Deep experience with trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and care coordination
• Proven leadership of Program Directors and medical/clinical staff
• Clinical license required
• Nurse Practitioner (strongly preferred)
• RN or LCSW with significant medical program leadership considered
• Comfortable working remotely and leading through systems and technology

Director of Finance (Remote – Multi-State Healthcare Operations)
Position Overview
The Director of Finance oversees financial operations across two state-based healthcare entities (California and Washington). This role is responsible for financial oversight, budgeting, reporting, cash flow management, and compliance support, while maintaining clear separation of entity-level financials.
This is a hands-on, director-level role ideal for a finance professional who can manage day-to-day financial operations today and grow into a more strategic leadership role as the organization scales.
The Director of Finance supports approximately $4M+ in combined annual revenue, including government contracts and grant funding, and works closely with executive leadership to stabilize and strengthen financial systems.
This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Oversight
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations for both CA and WA entities
• Ensure accurate, timely bookkeeping and reconciliations (in coordination with accounting support)
• Maintain separate books and financial records for each legal entity
• Monitor cash flow, burn rate, and financial health of each entity

• Develop and manage entity-specific annual budgets
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and financial projections
• Support financial planning related to program changes, restructuring, and growth
• Track actuals vs. budget and identify risks or variances

Grants, Contracts & Lending Support
• Support financial compliance for:
• Government contracts
• Grant-funded programs
• Lender reporting (e.g., PCR Business Finance)
• Track restricted vs. unrestricted funds
• Assist with grant reporting and financial documentation
• Prepare financial narratives and schedules for lenders, auditors, and funders

• GAAP (as applicable)
• State and federal funding requirements
• Internal controls and segregation of duties
• Support audits, reviews, and financial due diligence

• Oversee accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks or equivalent)
• Improve financial workflows to reduce errors and inefficiencies

Required Qualifications
• 5–8+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience
• Experience managing multi-entity financials
• Strong budgeting and cash flow management skills
• Experience with grants, contracts, or government-funded programs
• Working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
