At Mysti's Adult & Family Services (California), we carry forward the legacy of Mysti, Giovanne Schachere’s mother—an artist, warrior, and unwavering soul whose death during the COVID-19 pandemic transformed grief into groundbreaking purpose. From that moment, Mysti's CA was born: a field-based force dismantling systems that manage poverty—and building new ones that root dignity, justice, and healing into every act.

🔥 Our Purpose — and Why We Exist

• Because systems failed Mysti—and continue to fail so many- Giovanne lost his mother during COVID. Mysti was magical: creative, full of love. She held space for others even as life held less for her. Her passing symbolized the margin where systems turn their backs. Mysti's CA exists to honor that legacy by rejecting invisibility and deploying rage into radical restoration. 

• Because some lives are deemed "too complex" too soon
  We disrupt the narrative of “too broken” by showing up. Our clients include those just released, mothers on the brink, the elderly, children, and individuals with intersecting medical or behavioral health challenges. We don’t shrink from complexity—we embrace it.
